CBDT vide there circular have extended Income Tax return filing Date till 5 Aug 2013 which was otherwise on 31 July 2013

CBDT in there recent circular had made it compulsory to file IT return who falls in tax brackets.

FILE INCOME TAX RETURN

    Salaried class persons has been exempted if total income is less than 5,00,000 and saving bank interest Rs.10,000/- ,subject to some conditions.

Even then if some one wants to file return can file return volantarily, for assassment year 2011-12
return can be filed by 31-03-2013. Income tax return is an important document, and can be used further for availing bank loans.
